Social value and sustainability are paramount to operations within the Concorde BGW Group. We are committed to supporting our local area, the community, economy and environment and strive to help it grow and thrive in a planned and organised way. We are also committed to the construction industry and promote careers within this sector wholeheartedly.
Supporting our workforce
One of the ways we support our workforce is by providing Westfield Health plans to each employee. This enables our staff to access private health care and reclaim the cost of certain treatments they may require such as:
- Optical £60 cashback
- Alternative Therapies £75 cashback (Reiki, Reflexology etc.)
- Chiropody £35 cashback
- Therapy Treatments £200 cashback (Sports massage, Physiotherapy, acupuncture etc.)
- Dental £60 cashback
These amounts are refreshed on a yearly basis. Westfield Health also provides a 24-hour counselling and advice helpline as well as a doctor line where it is possible to arrange in-person counselling sessions if required.
Inspiring the future generation
Concorde BGW Group are currently working to engage with local schools and colleges to provide career talks and support students with mock interviews in order for young people to gain confidence and interview techniques. We will also be offering two young people the chance to gain work experience by supporting our office and project teams.
In 2021 we will provide a minimum of three talks at local schools and offer the opportunity to all team members, to support them in their personal development.
Supporting our community
The Concorde BGW Group team are committed to charity fundraising and other donations. Over the past few years, we have supported many charities, both local and national. We do this by completing group fundraising challenges such as cycling from John o’Groats to Lands’ End on an exercise bike, bake sales, charity football matches, Giving Tree, Tough Mudder events and much more. Helping charities such as the Great British Paralympics Rugby Team, Dementia UK, Doncaster Children’s Hospital, and Breast Cancer research. We also contribute to local food banks. We also use fundraising opportunities to support team-building across the company.
We also recently became patrons of the Doncaster Chamber of Commerce.
The scheme provides unique opportunities for businesses that contribute towards their success. Most importantly, it impacts and influences decisions in the local, regional and national economic agenda and we are looking forward to being part of lobbying work to improve the Doncaster borough and beyond.
Our key intention with joining is to align our values with activities that reflect our businesses purpose and culture. We want to be more involved in the local community and will seek to support through donations, fundraising, volunteering, skilled volunteering and gifting of any item or service.
