These independent awards honour the exceptional contributions of companies and individuals in the construction and building sector across Great Britain. The awards received an incredible response, so being shortlisted for a category is a significant achievement for our team.
As part of our entry, an expert panel of judges assessed our answers to a very specific set of questions about our environmental standards, outstanding project delivery, build quality and customer service, technology, innovation and specialist skills as well as other questions relating to the delivery of our build services and how we manage our teams.
Health and Safety is our priority as a fit-out contractor
Health and safety especially is a subject we are very passionate about and may be one of the reasons we were shortlisted for the Building Contractor of the Year Award. We are dedicated to meeting the highest standards to protect our staff, clients and the general public. Our ISO 45001 accreditation in Health & Safety Management shows we have an outstanding system in place for managing H&S, we actively reduce the risk of accidents, and we provide a healthy and safe working environment for our employees and everyone else who visits our sites or workplace.
Our commitment to health and safety isn't just a part of our ISO or SSIP accreditation, it's at the heart of everything we do. We take care to ensure that our sites and all site staff operate to the highest code of conduct.
Why is innovation is important to us and the construction industry
We pride ourselves in continuously pushing the limits within the industry in terms of change, we are always investing in new systems and technology as well as training to keep our team ahead of the competition. An example is our acquisition of 3D cameras which can quickly survey and measure sites. These cameras have assisted us in conducting digital site progress meetings whilst safeguarding clients.
Our snagging lists used to be written by hand and then typed for client issue. We have now equipped our teams with i-pads and apps which provide a professional report in minutes saving time and inevitably adding value to the business through client perception. Similarly, we invested in software to produce photo-realistic visuals and VR walk throughs.
Managing teams in our office and on site
We hope that the judges will be impressed with our holistic approach to managing our teams, particularly in training and development. We also have a major focus on employee health and safety and wellbeing and believe that these are some of the many reasons we have many returning clients and a healthy and happy workforce.
The awards ceremony
The awards will take place on the 20th April 2023 at The Tower Hotel, London. We can’t wait to celebrate the shortlist with our team and all the other amazing construction companies who are attending and we hope to walk away with the trophy for England and Wales Building Contractor of the Year.
About the Construction Awards of Excellence
