Situated alongside the Thames, The Riverside in Lechlade enjoys a prime waterside setting. Boats pass by while the garden stretches down to the water, creating a relaxed spot to enjoy the views year-round.
The refurbishment has increased dining capacity by 28 covers, introducing new seating and furniture, updated lighting, and a completely rebuilt bar. Seating and dining areas have been arranged to maximise views towards the river and garden, with natural timber finishes, neutral wall tones, and softer lighting creating a warm, contemporary pub interior.
Back-of-house works included upgrades to the bar and cellar areas, the installation of a new glass wash and bottle store, a walk-in freezer, and improvements to the kitchen preparation space. A new pizza service area has also been introduced, opening onto the stretch-tent dining space and helping the team operate more efficiently during busy trading periods, while supporting the venue’s outdoor offer during the summer months.
The pub is now back open and looking fantastic, just in time for guests to enjoy its riverside setting in the sunshine. It’s always a pleasure working with our friends at Arkell’s, and this project was no exception.
