The Hercules, named after the circus strongman, has a design style based on the history surrounding the creation of the modern circus.
The 200-year-old historic site was bought in 2019 by premium London brewery Fuller's, with the aim of transforming the space into a spacious, modern pub, but showcasing old pictures, promotional posters and props from London’s circuses. Concorde BGW was brought in as a contractor to redesign and refurbishment of the pub's interior.
The fit-out included a new bar and dining area on the ground floor, which features an open floor plan, plus a cosy cubbyhole with a fire. The bar is well stocked, with 19 keg lines, each dedicated to showcasing the latest craft beers from Fuller’s and other breweries.
The new design also features a bigger kitchen, open-plan seating areas, a large shuffleboard table, additional bars and an outdoor terrace.
