Revisiting The Brown Cow allowed us to take the next step in the pub’s evolution, transforming the adjoining, previously redundant, unit into a seamless extension of the existing venue.
The interiors have been designed to feel warm, relaxed and authentic to Fulham, balancing the familiarity of a traditional British pub with a more elevated hospitality experience. Rich timber finishes, warm lighting and deep earthy tones create a welcoming atmosphere, while layered textures and upholstery soften the space and encourage customers to settle in and stay longer.
A mix of seating styles has been introduced to give the pub greater flexibility throughout the day. Lounge-style seating areas and softer, more intimate corners sit alongside more traditional dining and drinking spaces, allowing the venue to comfortably support everything from breakfast and casual lunches through to evening drinks and larger social gatherings.
Throughout the project, careful attention was given to ensuring the new extension felt naturally connected to the existing pub. Consistent finishes, joinery details and spatial flow tie the spaces together, creating a venue that feels as though it has always been part of The Brown Cow while enhancing the pub’s atmosphere and experience.
It was a pleasure to return to such a well-loved venue and continue our work with Butcombe, helping to shape the next chapter of The Brown Cow’s story.
