The Ashford Arms has been closed for several years since the pandemic and our team has been working hard to bring this listed building back to life.
We were thrilled to work with our friends at Longbow and Star pubs and bars, to reopen this Peak District pub, nestled in the village of Ashford in the Water. We delivered the full build on this project, working with our in-house design team on the bedrooms and IDA on the trade area, a phenomenal team effort, to deliver a phenomenal project.
A key factor of this project was to preserve the character of the building, which included working with existing features and beams, exposing stonework and revealing a hidden historic fireplace and internal window.
The bedrooms provide guests with a relaxing retreat after a day in the Derbyshire dales, with a palette calming greens and pinks, woven through the delicate patterned fabrics and paint colours. Downstairs, IDA have worked their magic to create vibrant bar and dining areas, as well as adding an indoor/outdoor structure with a retractable canopy to create an alfresco dining room leading out into the garden.
