Silverways is a brand-new independent specialist school that has been developed to accommodate children’s sensory needs and create the best setting for them to learn and succeed – such a great project for a worthwhile cause.
Previously a Parish Centre, we transformed the building by installing a steel framed mezzanine deck to what was once a full height sports hall which added a complete new floor to accommodate students. The steel structure also allowed us to make major structural changes, demolishing walls to open up spaces to form bright and airy classrooms.
A full mechanical and electrical design, installation and commissioning package updated the inner workings of the building and allowed for the installation of a new commercial kitchen.
Although this project was completed during challenging circumstances, the timing could not have been better as it means the school will be able to open in time for children returning to classroom-based learning.
