Nestled in the rolling countryside of South Yorkshire lies Whitley Hall – an ivy-clad 16th century mansion located amongst 20 acres of stunning gardens and woodland. This is a place to unwind, where the historic meets the fashionable, and our refurbishment was dedicated to preserving this existing charm.
The bar area has been completely transformed with a fresh coat of paint, new furniture, and fixed seating. To create more of an open space, we removed the bulkhead above the bar and made subtle changes, such as lowering the original decorative timber backfitting for better visibility and adding brass accents to the back bar shelves. New timber panelling has been carefully matched to the original, while updated lighting provides the perfect finishing touch.
The restaurant has been revitalised with new chairs and fixed seating throughout, complemented by a striking feature blue colour on the walls, bringing a fresh yet still sophisticated atmosphere to the space.
The lounge area has been revamped by adding new parquet timber flooring, reupholstering some existing sofas and armchairs while also providing some new furniture. We also gave the bookshelf a stylish upgrade with some new wallpaper, while the existing timber panelling and walls above were repainted to enhance the space’s character.
