Settle in with friends, feast on fantastic food and sip on a signature cocktail at The Last Judgment on Chancery Lane in London. The iconic site previously known as The Knights Templar has been given a fresh new look as well as a new name too, The Last Judgement. The refurbishment offered an opportunity to rebrand the historic pub and now every corner tells a story.
At ground floor, the historic features have been gilded, with the intricate ceiling and panel details brought to life utilising rich golds and gloss paint finishes, whilst the existing timber details have been brought back to life to pop out from the paintwork with their rich chestnut hue. The original timber bar back fitting is the ultimate centrepiece for this London pub, we made minor adaptions to incorporate brass elements, lighting and the new branding, whilst also updating the operational requirement to suit our client’s needs for the pubs new offering. Throughout the ground floor traditional furniture and lighting pieces have been used to be sympathetic to the building’s historical nature with some contemporary sofa style fixed seating added by the windows. To make the most of the grand ceiling heights faux trees stand proudly on poseur height drinks platforms.
At first floor the dining area laps up the bold reflective leathers, and rich luxurious velvets. Heavy curtains help to create bookable dining areas and again the historic timber work is given chance to sing within its surroundings, contrasting against inky glosses and mossy greens.
Bursting with character, flavour and a vibrant atmosphere, The Last Judgment has undergone an incredible transformation..
