The impact on retail spaces following the Covid-19 pandemic has seen more consumer appetite for community and convenience-based retail. The Green Dragon Country Pub wanted to adapt to these changing times and worked with us to convert the Function Room in their property into a mixed-use store supplying daily essentials, specialist products, and homeware items.
The design has embraced a timeliness country-inspired aesthetic that has been defined using reclaimed materials and rustic traditional pieces – from the vintage crates on the bar to reclaimed wooden shelving, doors, and display counters. New signage and an external chalkboard let customers know they are in the right place.
We have worked with ConcordeBGW on six projects so far and everyone has been a success. The “Farm shop” concept at the Green Dragon was a thorough & clever design by Emma Scarff, using old corrugated iron sheets & scaffolding boards to create a rustic but modern feel. Danny & his team worked to their schedule; nothing was too much bother when we asked them to do anything. A pleasure to work with & I look forward to the next project.
