Christmas Jumper Race Day
We use any excuse to get together and what better reason that our annual Christmas party! This year we went to Christmas Jumper Day at Doncaster Racecourse. Yes, this is ANOTHER paid day of leave for us all to enjoy ourselves… where do the gifts end?!
What better way to get into the festive mood than with a day at the races?! Our festive Christmas Party Race Day was full of seasonal cheer and tidings of comfort and joy as we enjoyed watching the day’s events from the comfort of our own private viewing box boasting panoramic views of the racecourse.
We all enjoyed a wonderful 3-course meal featuring incredible dishes using fresh, and seasonal produce served to the highest standard. Our team were encouraged to embrace the festivities and certainly made the most of the open bar too.
This was our first ever event where teams from the rest of our group at A Hull Electrical and Sykes Joinery joined us too, and in total we had a whopping 105 people attending!
We also run our annual company awards at the races and a few of us were celebrated for having consistently demonstrated our values. They walked away with a wonderful trophy and an extra glass of bubbly.
The fun doesn’t end at the racecourse. At the end of the race day we all head into Doncaster to dance the night away.
Christmas Gifts
Another Christmas gift for everyone in the Group is a genuine token of our Directors appreciation. The gifts we give our teams say a lot about how much we value their hard work and contributions to the company.
This year everyone received a One4All gift card with a very generous amount of credit loaded onto them, as well as a box containing 6 fabulous drinks and other gifts, ranging from wine to beer, soft drinks, and chocolates. Along with a personal message from the Big Man himself.
Best Dressed Trees
This year we were looking for the best dressed Christmas tree in the group, complete with quality decorations and Christmas tree lights. All were asked to submit a photo to compete in categories; best traditional tree, best kids tree, best creative tree, best retro/kitsch tree.
There were some prizes up for grabs with the chance to win a £30 shopping voucher of your choice.
With so many amazing trees submitted, it was hard to pick a winner but Zoe, HR Director, found a way through and rewarded 4 people with a voucher of their choice.
There is never a dull moment at Concorde, especially over the festive period and we can’t wait to see how we will celebrate the Christmas holidays in 2023.
