Warehouse Supervisor

Doncaster £24k - £26k DOE

A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a friendly team in an amazing company.  We are a growing furniture business that supplies the hospitality industry and trade buyers and we are looking for someone who will thrive on working in a fast paced and challenging role. The ideal candidate will be organised, pro-active and able to work well alone or as part of a team and have a passion for delivering excellent results and work to a high standard.

 

Responsibilities and tasks

 

  • Running the warehouse operations across two sites
  • Checking all deliveries are in full and accurate with no damages
  • Reporting any delivery damages to Procurement team and organising replacements and/or refunds
  • Accountable for stock inventory on all materials passing through the warehouse and HQ
  • Preparing and undertaking stock check inclusive of spot checks and annual full stock take
  • Picking of stock ready for projects to be delivered
  • Updating System with any damages and movements
  • Oversee the maintenance operations of the warehouse

 

Required skills and experience

 

  • Physically fit, due to the manual handing required
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Excellent organisation skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good IT skills - knowledge of Sage system would be advantageous
  • Forklift licence would also be advantageous

This role is based at our Doncaster site with excellent staff facilities, free parking, free tea & coffee etc, free fruit and other perks.   This position benefits from a company pension, quality workwear, 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays and also receives paid leave while the business is closed over the festive period.  Salary is up to £24k - £26k per annum and is negotiable depending on experience and this is based on a 39 hour working week.
