Site Clearance Operative

A fantastic full time and permanent opportunity is available for a Site Clearance Operative to join our busy and friendly team in the Regeneration department. 

This is an essential position within the department, responsible for removing and deposing of unwanted items and waste from void properties. The ideal candidate will thrive on working in a fast-paced role which involves completing work to deadlines and at a high standard.

We are seeking a candidate who is organised, pro-active and able to work well alone or as part of a team. The individual will be committed to following best health and safety practice and deliver excellent customer service skills to clients and tenants.

The day-to-day tasks will include:

• Property Clearance: Removing all furniture, personal possessions, and waste from the property, including difficult-to-reach areas like lofts and garages.
• Waste Disposal: Safely loading items onto vehicles or skips for transport to appropriate disposal or storage locations.
• Grounds Maintenance: Clearing gardens and communal areas, including tasks like grass cutting, shrub management, and litter removal.
• Equipment Operation: Operating and maintaining grounds maintenance plant and equipment, such as lawnmowers, brush cutters, and chainsaws, where competent.
• Safety and Customer Service: Handling furniture and other items safely to protect other property and people.

The required skills and attributes

• Physical fitness and ability to exercise safe manual handling skills
• Ability to work in challenging conditions
• A full and valid UK driving licence
• A "Can Do" Attitude with positive and proactive approach
• Familiarity with garden maintenance duties and the ability to identify invasive or hazardous species.

This role works out of our Nottingham office with excellent staff facilities, free parking, free tea & coffee etc. This position will predominantly be based out on sites across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire regions.

Salary starts at £25,396.80 per annum and is negotiable depending on experience. The role is permanent and full-time, offering a 40-hour week with overtime opportunities, excellent job stability and potential for progression. This position also benefits from a company pension, van, quality workwear and mobile phone.  All work-related training such as CSCS card, asbestos awareness etc is provided and fully funded.
