Cutter and Sewer

A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Cutter / Sewer to join a friendly team in our furnishing arm of the group, Revivalist.  We are award winning design and build specialists who offer our clients a bespoke upholstery and soft furnishings service.  This can include chairs, stools, fixed seating, cushions and much more all made to the customers specification and to the highest standard.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Working with many types of materials including fabric and leather
• Cutting materials ready for upholstery
• Sew cut fabrics to the required design
• Using a range of trimmings and finishing’s
• Cut foams to templates
• Ensuring workshop is kept clean and tidy at all times
• Work efficiently to minimise wastage
• General workshop duties as required

Required Skills and Experience

• Excellent time keeping
• Must be accurate and have good attention to detail
• Able to work in metric or inches
• Can work on a heavy-duty walking foot upholstery machine
• Able to work in a fast-paced role and able to work to manufacturing deadlines.
• Comfortable working alone or as part of a team

Salary is up to £12.00 per hour, negotiable depending on experience, and we are looking for someone to work full time, 39hrs per week, with an early finish on a Friday.  This position is a permanent role and does not involve any rota or shift work and there is no weekend or bank holiday working.
