Commercial Manager

Nottingham up to £70,000 DOE

We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and dynamic Commercial Manager to work directly with our Commercial Director (CD) as we continue to grow Concorde BGW’s FM, regeneration, and commercial operations. This is a pivotal role within a forward-thinking, inclusive, and future-focused business dedicated to delivering exceptional service, innovative solutions, and sustainable growth.

 

Reporting directly to the CD, this position is central to the execution of our current growth strategy and longer-term vision. You will act as a key partner to the CD, helping to translate strategic goals into actionable initiatives and overseeing critical projects across our operations. Key Responsibilities

 

Strategic Execution & Vision

  • Support the CD in implementing and monitoring growth strategy, including expansion into new markets and development of existing client relationships.
  • Help and support the CD Streamline internal processes and develop customer-focused strategies to drive revenue.
  • Contribute to operational excellence by integrating advanced technologies (including AI) and improving efficiency and scalability in line with the Commercial Directors Vison.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, especially around carbon reduction in construction and FM.

Commercial Oversight & Delivery

  • Analyse supply chain and pricing structures to drive material cost competitiveness.
  • Support development of account and project management processes.
  • Assist the CD in stakeholder engagement, attending pitches, and overseeing project delivery.
  • Review and enhance marketing and branding for stakeholder alignment.
  • Support CD in business development by helping him manage client relationships and identifying new opportunities in line with his strategic long term business vision.

Team Leadership & Organisational Development

  • Collaborate with our senior leaders to foster an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Promote diversity and employee well-being.
  • Set development plans with department heads and conduct regular account reviews.

Operational & Project Oversight

  • Provide high-level support in delivering FM services and fit-out projects.
  • Assist in budgeting, contract negotiation, vendor management, and service optimisation.
  • Oversee project scheduling, tender writing, and bid submissions.
  • Help implement cost control processes, financial reporting, and budget tracking.
  • Manage contract preparation.
  • Translate the Commercial Director’s strategic vision into actionable commercial plans that support sustained business growth
  • Develop and implement scalable pricing and tendering processes for large projects.
  • Ensure timely communication and performance tracking against KPIs.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven senior-level experience in FM, commercial construction and regeneration.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting business growth and strategic initiatives.
  • Strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and ethical leadership.
  • Excellent project and people management skills.
  • Financially astute with experience in budgeting and reporting.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Resilient and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
  • Degree qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of RIBA stages 1–5 and a baseline understanding of M&E systems.
