The brief was to enliven the existing interior, using colour and different pockets of ambience to a rather compact, listed building. Recently bricked-up fireplaces were removd to reveal antique lintels and gas fires were installed as a central feature. To bring in more light the ceiling was removed from the restaurant to reveal a stunning pitched roof and rafters into which velux windows were installed. Externally, Rose & Crown now has a newly landscaped garden with reclaimed timber fixed seating booths three quirky sheds, we have introduced alfresco dining - no matter what the weather!
