Nestled in Totford, England’s smallest hamlet, and close to the River Itchen, The Woolpack Inn has reopened following a four-month renovation. Part of the Heineken family estate, the pub sits amidst grazing fields, forests and farms and now features eight bedrooms, a private dining room and a quarter-acre productive kitchen garden.
Working in collaboration with renowned interiors studio Nina Campbell, each of the eight bedrooms has been created with comfort and ease in mind. They are named after game birds, including Partridge, Quail, Grouse and Golden Pheasant and are decorated in rich earthy tones with a mix of classic and contemporary wallpapers. Natural materials such as wool, leather and warm wood are layered with antique bronze finishes, vintage furniture and decorative pieces to create a timeless and welcoming feel.
The Orangery, the pub’s private dining room, accommodates up to 24 guests and is perfect for family celebrations or group gatherings. Outside, the garden has been redesigned with a new pergola, festoon lighting and heat lamps, offering a warm and inviting space to unwind.
It was a pleasure to be involved in this beautiful project and to work alongside the talented team at Nina Campbell.
